Day 16 Porthcothan to Newquay 11.5 miles

This beautiful but windy morning me & Melzie set off down the hill 1/2 mile back to the SWCP.

Last night it was sooooo windy (no, not melze!) making the tent flap about like it was going to take off, that neither of us got any sleep.

Not a problem as it wasn't too tiring a day, a lovely walk along the cliff tops with invigorating seas & views as we went.

We passed Bedruthan Steps where the legend is that the rocks are a giantess' footsteps.

Melzie was filming and we chatted to a lot of people along the way about what I was up to which was great.

We carried onto Mawgan Porth where we stopped for lunch overlooking the beach. After lunch we carried along the coast path past Watergate Bay and finally onto Newquay, where we walked the last bit along to the harbour on the beach.

It was crazy arriving in Newquay, the amount of people is quite overwhelming after being on the remote hilltops for so long.

Melze & I had already decided to get a b&b to get some proper sleep tonight so we ended up in a nice place near Newquay after getting the (long) bus back to Porthcothan.

Just had a feast in our room, up early in the morn. Great day with Melze today.
