Day 12 Boscastle to Port Isaac

Mum & I set off this morning in drizzling rain after a slap up breakfast in the hotel, where we also managed to smuggle a sausage out for Rudy.

The scenery was dramatic with jagged cliffs in a directions & wet & windy weather to match. I did wonder at this point whether we were going to have much fun at all that day...

Luckily the weather cleared up & we had a relatively easy walk to Tintagel where we stopped for a drink & looked at the amazing ruins & wished we could go through a vortex into Arthurian times. It was really nice to see some human history after all the coastline!

We carried on another couple of miles, seal watching along the way (we saw four today) until Trevargith (i think) Strand where we had a quick sandwich before starting the hardest part of the day, gulley after gulley with steep shaley paths on the way down and even steeper steps on the way up. I was loving the fact i didn't have my rucksack so didn't find them too bad. Mum was a little slower ( an old man asked her if she had a gamny left leg, as she didn't appear to use it going uphill!) but she never complained ,& we had one of the best days of my first two weeks, meeting Harry in Port Isaac in bright sunshine.

We dropped mum back in Boscastle & went back to our B&B which is amazing! I've definitely been looked after these past couple of days and its been great!!!
