Day 10 Hartland Quay to Bude

The guide book wasn't lying, it was a really really tough day.

After a few dubious moments in the morning when I woke up to rain, we finally set off in good weather about 9. I was walking with Jenny again and it was really nice to have some company on what was gonna be a hard stretch.

We walked down then up 10 valleys, all stunningly pretty, with little wooden bridges at the bottom over streams. The scenery was incredible, it was real coastal walking so it felt great.

We walked for a bit with a guy called Stefan from Germany but he was going a bit faster so he eventually stormed ahead.

Rudy developed the habit of herding people if we walked with them for a bit which a bit annoying having to get her back ( and for them probably trying to get away!!!)

we also went past two little huts, one a poet used to use for writing and the hawkers hut which were really cool.

The final couple of miles into Bude were easy but tough as we were absolutely pooped. We then had another mile or so up to the campsite, Cerenety Eco camping.

I've just been sitting in there kitchen hut having a microwave meal and orange juice which the lady went out to buy for us! Such kind people, also a cup of tea on arrival, U can't ask for more than that...

Well it seems their generosity knows no bounds as I am currently tucked up in a double bed inside an amazing candlelit bell tent, incredible, and all.for no money , its just so nice of them. I tried to take a picture but I don't think its come out v well.

Heading to meet Mum in Boscastle tomorrow!
