We're 'havin a party!

Hello Friends,

We're having a party!!! To raise money for the MNDA of course. It's happening on the 25th August, which by good fortune is a Saturday, so there is no excuse not to come along and have a jolly old time of it. RSVP on the FB page or just turn up!

We're planning some music, a BBQ, raffle, fun & games. People are welcome to stay over, we will squeeze you in somewhere. Fingers crossed the weather will be like it is now... which is sunny by the way, as obviously it could change any minute. We are looking for prizes for the raffle so if you know of any good stuff (doesn't have to be expensive or anything) please let me know.

I'm feeling really excited for the walk now we've had some good weather, sunshine really is the ultimate motivator. The constant rain at the beginning of the month was slightly depressing and I was imagining myself squelching along footpaths sharing a tent with a wet, smelly dog for weeks on end. But, I've been reliably informed September will be fabulous! ( I hope...)

Rudy & I have been getting some practice in along the very coastal paths we will be walking in a couple of months time in Cornwall this month. She'd like everyone to know she's feeling really good about it all as well.

On another positive note I've had quite a few responses from campsites & B & B owners who have very kindly agreed to let me stay for no charge which is obviously brilliant and very generous. I'm thinking of trying couch-surfing for the bigger towns (e.g, Newquay, Penzance, Plymouth etc. ) but am a little apprehensive so if anyone has had any experience of this please let me know!?
