Day 34 Polperro to Portwrinkle 12.5 miles

We set off up past Polperro harbour this chilly morning. We passed a lone jogger who Rudy growled at, who then turned out to be Richard Madeley, from Richard & Judy! First (minor) celeb spot.

Anyhoo we had lovely weather all day and after a relatively easy couple of hours we came to Looe where we saw a seal near the waters edge. Looe was a busy tourist town which was very pretty with the beach and a river flowing out of it separated by a harbour wall, with blue sea one side and brown sea the other.

We picked up a slice of pizza here and ate it overlooking the beach, whereupon a dog (not Rudy!) promptly pooed in front of us. Oh well, it will take more than that to put me off pizza. Ha sorry.

The walking got considerably more hilly after this and it was very hot (not complaining!) as we went up and down the cliff side past Seaton & Downberry. More hills as we came around the headland, past Long Rock into Portwrinkle where Harry enviously looked on at the surfers.

Had a great day walking with Harry, who I haven't actually walked with since the very beginning. We are now tucked up in our tent in a great campsite where we are the only campers! We can see the lights of Plymouth from our tent, we'll be in Devon tomorrow!
